#VocalTipsTuesday Today is about Constriction and tension, if you have either of these when you sing you will limit range, tone, control, volume, flexibility and pretty much all the things you want to achieve in your voice! Its one of the main problems I see in students when they first start learning with me, its obvious that we use much more effort than is needed when we start out – we think singing is hard so it should feel like an effort! its important to relax, take the pressure out of the throat and support more if necessary. Singing should feel comfortable and effortless throughout the majority of the range, the only thing that changes is effort levels and concentration to keep the sound supported and well rounded.
